The integration of Palfinger Platforms Italy (PPI) into the Global Palfinger Organization is going to raise up service levels and cooperation. As new Managing Director, Marcello Fortunato will utilize these advantages for PPIs customers and partners.

As global leader in aerial work platforms Palfinger has always had an eye on Italy. For a reason: Palfinger Platforms Italy (PPI) contributes to the sales success of light aerial work platforms significantly. The Italian market is the single most important market in this very segment. To further strengthen this excellent position Palfinger has started a realignment in its aerial work platform product line as well as of its Italian set up.

To guarantee swift and lasting success, Palfinger has chosen to call upon Marcello Fortunato to lead this process. Therefore, Fortunato next to his position as VP Global Sales & Operations Planning assumes the role of Managing Director PPI. He succeeds Paolo Balugani, who decided to pursue a new career. Fortunato, who looks back on more than 20 years’ experience in large Multinationals and Capital Goods companies joined PALFINGER in 2018. Since then, he has been involved actively in implementing the Global Palfinger Organization (GPO). It is one of Fortunato’s priorities to fully integrate PPI into the GPO and to ensure that customers and business partners in Italy profit from the new possibilities offered.

PPI will enhance access to competencies and services the Group offers. The product line developments are now guided by Gerald Pschernig, an expert with a long-standing track record from the loader crane product line within Palfinger  It is his task to reinforce this product division, increasing the scale and unveiling the full potential of global distribution focusing on customer solutions.

Together, Marcello Fortunato and Gerald Pschernig will progress to facilitate the further development of PPI and guarantee their Italian customers and business partners an even deeper cooperation wherever possible. "Italy is a core market which deserves our total commitment", says Fortunato and adds "Together with our partners we shape the future."
