From September 13 to 17, Bomag showed products for asphalt compaction at the NordBau.

For the first time, pneumatic tyred rollers were among the exhibits. However, the true eye-catchers was the BW 154 AP-5 AM, which was presented on a turntable, as well as the BW 60 and BW 200 from the founding years, shown in celebration of the company’s 60th anniversary.

Sixty years after its foundation, Bomag is once more present at the largest compact trade fair for construction in Northern Europe. At this 62nd NordBau, the market leader in soil and asphalt compaction focused on proven products in asphalt compaction, while also pneumatic tyred rollers for the first time.

In keeping with the motto "60 years on the move”, Bomag presented both new and old products from its 60 years of corporate history. The presentation of the pivot-steered tandem roller BW 154 AP-5 AM on a turntable provided a visual highlight. Moreover, visitors admired a BW 200, one of the first 7t- double vibratory rollers in the world and Bomag’s flagship for many years.

In addition, the roller that started everything was showed at NordBau: a BW 60. Launched in 1957, this was the first double vibratory roller with all drum drive, revolutionizing compaction technology and laying the foundation for Bomag’s rapid success and rise to global market leadership.

Pneumatic tyred rollers was showed for the first time, represented by the models BW 28 RH and BW 11 RH. In doing so, Bomag is responding to the increasing demand for this type of machine in asphalt and soil compaction. With their state-of-the-art hydrostatic drive, the rollers ensure high-grade compaction and are ideally suited to every compaction task. The unique frame design of the pneumatic tyred roller BW 28 RH is inspired by the hammerhead shark and provides the operator with a free view of the wheel surface at all times, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety in equal measure. The articulated BW 11 RH with its close turning radius of 2.70 metres is ideally suited for construction sites with limited space and ensures an enhanced tilt stability on steep slopes thanks to a low centre of gravity.

Products from the Light Equipment range were also admired at NordBau. Here, Bomag focused on operator safety. The exhibited products were characterized by low carbon emissions as well as a reduced vibration load. This offers operator-friendly conditions while ensuring the highest quality. Products showed included the award-winning gas-powered tamper BT 60 G and the world’s first gas-powered plate compactor BPR 60/65 G. In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Bomag offeredattractive financing for the Light Equipment range to customers at NordBau.
