Building Our Way Forward: Palfinger Welcomes the World

Palfinger invited partners, pupils and employees to the Salzburg Exhibition Center from June 10 to 14.

Under the motto “Building our way forward”, Palfinger invited partners, pupils and employees to the Salzburg Exhibition Center from June 10 to 14. The extensive week-long program focused on current challenges and shared opportunities. While the Global Sales & Service Conference focused on partners from around the world, the Career Day focused on the employees of the future.

Andreas Klauser, CEO of Palfinger: “The last years have been marked by challenges and unpredictability and, at the same time, by huge business success for Palfinger. A volatile economy has become the new normal. The key question is how we will deal with this in the future. Our answer: Together, in strong and reliable partnerships that have made PALFINGER so successful for over 90 years.” In one week, Palfinger brought around 3,200 visitors from more than 60 countries to Salzburg. For dealers, service and sales partners, suppliers, future talents and employees, there were individual event formats and content on the agenda.

The program for the guests covered a wide range of central Palfinger topics: from Supplier Day, which focused on supplier management and supplier development, to the Global Sales & Service Conference, which covered customer focus, networking and a shared brand experience. The key strategic goals were presented along the customer journey and discussed with the partners. “In line with our Vision & Strategy 2030, we are taking new, courageous and inspiring paths to success with our partners and employees, following the motto ‘Building our way forward’,” says Palfinger CEO Andreas Klauser.

The future of an innovative technology company lies not only in its products and solutions, but also in its employees. Palfinger plans to train more than 500 apprentices by 2027 in Europe alone. In addition to Austria, the focus is on countries such as Germany, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Spain, and soon also the USA. Under the motto "Your Future at Palfinger", the technology company demonstrated at the Career Day on Friday how, as a future-oriented employer, it enables young talents the perfect start to their careers. The day opened with Palfinger experts holding a session on the question of what makes a workplace attractive, and how can companies best attract employees. Following that, around 600 pupils were then able to find out about the various technical and commercial jobs at Palfinger, from service and technology, to purchasing and software development.

Maria Koller, Chief Human Resources Officer at PALFINGER, emphasized: “In order to create a diverse and inclusive working environment for our employees, we take into account the needs of all age groups, genders and nationalities. The Career Day gave young talents the chance to find out about the opportunities offered by PALFINGER at an early stage and encouraged them to join our team to shape the technological future together. The most important thing for us is that our colleagues are accepted and appreciated, because only together can we be successful and create an enriching environment that makes work really enjoyable.”

Great interest was shown in the more than 35 different Palfinger solutions & products in the action park. Every day at the event, visitors were able to experience Palfinger highlights up close. From the PK 1650 TEC heavy-duty crane with an outreach of up to 38.7 meters to the P 280 CK access platform and the VR1 training simulator. With loader cranes, access platforms, digital solutions, as well as a forestry crane and marine crane, Palfinger presented the entire range of its innovative lifting solutions to give a first-class product experience. The series of events ended on Friday afternoon with a summer party for the Palfinger employees. Accompanied by live music and food trucks, everyone celebrated being together and working together. “At the end of the day, Palfinger stands for all those people who work for us and with us, whether employees, dealers, partners or investors: The success of Palfinger is only possible when everyone works together. That is why it is especially important for me to take this opportunity to say a big thank you, to celebrate our successful work together, and to look to the future together,” says Andreas Klauser.
