For Cams, “The future is green” isn’t merely a slogan; it’s a steadfast commitment to a greener tomorrow.
“The future is green” stands as Cams’ tagline. For the company, specializing in crushing, shredding and screening equipment, this phrase is more than a catchy slogan; it signifies their daily dedication to forging a more environmentally friendly tomorrow. How do they achieve this? By pioneering innovative solutions for recycling aggregates, asphalt, rubble, and other materials, thus reducing the reliance on raw resources. But that's not all. Cams meticulously crafts their machines with an eye on minimizing environmental impact, designing them to operate in hybrid (diesel/electric) or fully electric modes. The benefits are palpable: decreased particulate emissions, diminished noise pollution, vibration isolation, and the flexibility to switch to the site's electrical grid for power supply.
Let's delve into their product range: the Centauro, a mobile plant combining shredder, screen, and magnetic separator into one unit; UTM, mobile crushers; UTS, transportable crushers; UCS, mobile and transportable plants catering to secondary shredding; UVS, transportable screens for sorting aggregates, asphalt, and industrial waste; and FTR, primary industrial shredders (fixed or transportable) designed to reduce the volume of various materials, including glass, to facilitate their transport or further processing. But how do these Cams plants operate in detail? They're equipped with a generator set featuring a robust and efficient diesel engine, coupled with an alternator to generate the necessary electricity for machine operation, enabling on-site power. Moreover, to optimize torque and minimize fuel consumption, the engine operates consistently at 1,500 rpm. Furthermore, all machines can seamlessly switch to full-electric mode through direct on-site feeding. Even in this mode, Cams ensures efficient shredding of coarse materials, thanks to their patented hydraulic pusher system, which automates the pre-shredding of bulky blocks in the loading hopper.
The ethos of Cams extends beyond just creating sustainable technologies; it is part of their organizational model. Their management system, already bolstered by ISO 9001:2015 Certification, now encompasses ethical and social considerations. This commitment to sustainable development garnered recognition when, in December 2023, ESG Portal, an international digital platform assessing sustainable development performance, awarded Cams the Silver position in its rating. This accolade underscores their dedication to implementing sustainable development strategies, with the highest score in “Governance”. For Cams, “The future is green” isn’t merely a slogan; it’s a steadfast commitment to a greener tomorrow.
