Dynapac is introducing a new range of fixed frame rollers featuring SESIMIC technology and all new operator station.

Dynapac is introducing a new range of fixed frame rollers featuring SESIMIC technology and all new operator station. The range includes four models – CX8, CX9 as well as combi versions – CX8C & CX9C.

Among the many features of the new Dynapac CX9 are its 9-ton classification, latest generation VI operating station, interface, electric system, and ECU software. Additionally, the Dynapac CX will come with a new style for forks, beams, and frames. A particularly special feature is the Seismic system for optimizing energy consumption and compaction effect.

Dynapac soil rollers are well-known for their seismic system and the outstanding compaction performance they deliver. That’s why the next step was to take the same innovation and performance and put it to the test with asphalt. After comprehensive testing and adjustments to a hot asphalt mix, the exact positive results were achieved. Benefits include high quality compaction, substantially reduced vibration power and thereby up to 25% fuel consumption saving working in combination with Ecomode. This helps in reducing the CO2 emission significantly. Additionally, noise levels were lowered due to lower frequency and there was an overall reduction in the number of passes depending on the application.

Comfort and control are key to any successful job. That's why the CX station offers full seat rotation, making it possible to turn the seat and steering module all the way around for optimal visibility. With the new station, there are no limitations regarding forwards or backward movement, while the ergonomic electric mini steering wheel offers optimal visibility. The sliding possibility makes it easy to move to the sides for optimal drum edge visibility. The CX instrument panel has been designed around simplicity and intuitive operation and is outfitted with a 7-inch full-color touch display and easy to understand instrument panel that all follow the seat and steering module. No matter where the operator slides, they always have the controls and levers at hand in a comfortable and ergonomic position.

The Dynapac CX comes with numerous standard features for efficient, more sustainable, and costsaving energy utilization. The patented “Efficiency Eccentrics” system optimizes all eccentric elements, thus providing substantial fuel and energy savings while reducing the environmental impact during operation. Costs are further diminished thanks to the Seismic technology working in combination with Ecomode reducing energy consumption by up to 25%. Biodegradable hydraulic fluid is an optional alternative.

The CX8 has a length of 3,99 meters (157 in), with a 1500 mm (59 in) drum width, 1200 mm (47 in) offset, an operating weight of 8,3 tons and a static linear load of 27,7 kg/cm (155 pli). The CX9 has a length of 4,2 meters (165 in), with a 1680 mm (66 in) drum width, 1350 mm (53 in) offset, and an operating weight of 9 tons. Despite its greater weight, it is remarkably easy to handle and comes with a static linear load of 26,8 kg/cm (150 pli). Both the CX8 and CX9 have a maximum height under 3 meters (118 in), which ensures hassle-free transportation and location deployment.

The range also can be equipped with Dyn@Lyzer. As a state-of-the-art compaction control and documentation system, the Dyn@Lyzer records and maps the stiffness and compaction progress of the compacted layer in real-time, as well as measure the asphalt temperature and number of passes. It additionally functions as a quality control and assurance device, as well as a productivity tool to optimize the compaction effort. Additionally, Dynapac’s Open Interface helps provide seamless communication to 3rd party compaction control systems Topcon, Trimble & Leica.

As with all large asphalt tandem rollers, the CX comes with Dyn@Link - an advanced telematics system, which makes keeping track of vital parameters and operating processes quick and easy. These include one's position, working hours, time to service, machine/ engine alarms, eventual failure codes, and other aspects such as fuel consumption and machine utilization. Easy-to-reach oil and coolant liquid drainages, daily maintenance points, an efficient water system with a full backup and anti-freeze system, and high placed scrapers are some of the main features built for minimal hassle and more efficiency.
