Haulotte & Height 4 Hire are celebrating a significant milestone, the delivery of their 1000th Machine.

The 1000th machine is an Optimum 8 Scissor lift from Haulotte, with both companies celebrating with a handover at Height 4 Hire’s facility in Richlands. Height 4 Hire is based in Queensland in the north-east of Australia, it’s Australia's second-largest state by area and third largest by population.

Commencing in 2010 Height for Hire is now Queensland’s largest privately owned and operated supplier of access hire and scissor lift hire equipment. Owner of Height 4 Hire Ken Baker explains the journey so far and what this milestone means to his business. “We have become well known in the hire industry for providing reliable, safe and well-maintained equipment. We are so proud of our growth over the last 12 years, which is thanks to great staff, customers and high quality, reliable machines like Haulotte scissors and booms. Our fleet has grown from 55 machines, and we look forward to adding another 1000 MEWP’s in the future”, said Ken Baker. “Some of the changes that have happened in my time in the industry, there’s an even greater focus on safety and Haulotte has been at the forefront of proving safe working conditions for the operators of these machines”, adds Ken.

The 1000th Haulotte machine for Height 4 Hire is an Haulotte Optimum 8 one of 285 that Height 4 Hire now have in their fleet. A fleet staple, the ‘Opti’ as it is known in the industry, is a compact and versatile electric scissor lift designed for indoor use. It has a maximum working height of 7.8 meters and a platform capacity of 230 kilograms, making it ideal for a range of applications. The lift has a compact design that allows it to manoeuvre easily in tight spaces and narrow aisles. Other features include a roll-out deck extension, battery management system and maintenance-free, AC electric motors.

Haulotte is proud to be supporting each of their customers as they reach these milestones. Managing Director for Haulotte Asia-Pacific Damien Gautier describes the importance of Australian customers to the Haulotte Group internationally. “The Australian market is one of our highest growing across the world and we are proud of the growth we have seen in recent years. Being here to celebrate these milestones is just part of the ongoing partnership that Haulotte brings to its customers”, said Damien.

Haulotte have been providing lifting equipment to Height 4 Hire since 2010 starting first with 20ft scissor lifts and expanded to include other electric and diesel scissors and booms. “It’s about the relationship for us, we don’t just supply machines, we are a partner, for our customers growth, for their service needs and for machine improvements. We work together to deliver the best solution for their needs all while providing the great range of Haulotte innovations like Sherpal telematics, Safety systems and efficiency improvements”, adds Damien. Ken Baker explains why trust and good relationships are key to running his family business. “It’s the relationships I have with Haulotte and the people in it. I know that if there’s a problem, they’ll support me”, adds Ken
