JCB is meeting the needs of customers across every industry sector, with an expansion of the Hydradig range of wheeled tool carriers.

JCB is meeting the needs of customers across every industry sector, with an expansion of the Hydradig range of wheeled tool carriers. There will now be three models on offer: the Hydradig, the Hydradig Plus and the Hydradig Pro.

The entry-level Hydradig offers all of the versatility, stability and adaptability that the machine has become known for, in a working specification that will meet the needs of many operators. The tool-carrier comes with a rear dozer blade, 120l/min high-flow and 60l/min low-flow auxiliary hydraulic circuits with a free flow return. It has a climate-controlled JCB CommandPlus cab, with a mechanical suspension seat, amber beacon and halogen work light package. The machine has a two-piece TAB boom and 1.65m, 2m and 2.25m dipper arm options are available.

The Hydradig Plus is expected to be the most popular model, offering a tailored mix of specification to suit the majority of customers and boosting comfort levels for operators. The machine has boom suspension (SRS) as standard, single point axle greasing, reverse steering and two low-flow auxiliary lines. In the upgraded cab, the operator gets a deluxe air suspension seat and a Bluetooth radio, while an LED work light package and a refuelling pump complete the specification.

Those customers looking for the ultimate machine can opt for the range-topping Hydradig Pro. Delivering maximum versatility, the Pro has the option of a rear-mounted skid steer hitch and lower chassis-mounted high-flow hydraulics, offering 150l/min of flow. These features allow the Hydradig Pro to work with the widest selection of mechanical and powered attachments, making it suitable for all applications and offering customers the ability to switch between set-ups quickly, on both the dig-end and the chassis, increasing uptime and boosting productivity. All JCB Hydradig machines have a sturdy, four-wheel drive, four-wheel steer chassis based on the world-beating Loadall telescopic handler. With three steering modes, the machine delivers class-leading stability and manoeuvrability at all speeds.

The JCB Hydradig is powered by a Stage V compliant EcoMAX diesel engine, delivering 81kW. This drives through a hydrostatic transmission. With an operating weight of 11-13 tonnes, depending on specification, the Hydradig provides a maximum roading speed of 40kph, making it easy to transfer between work sites. With the engine mounted in the lower chassis, the operator has a clear line of sight all around the machine. Low level glazing allows the operator to see all four wheels for added site safety. Positioning the engine on the side of the chassis also delivers unrestricted access for repair and maintenance, while 500-hour service intervals deliver maximum uptime.

The chassis-mounted engine and transmission gives the Hydradig an unparalleled low centre of gravity, for maximum stability when travelling or working. With a maximum lift capacity of 3,182kg, the machine is capable of lifting more than 1,400kg over the front and 1,000kg to either side. A range of hydraulic auxiliary outlets, in combination with JCB’s specially designed Raptor tilt rotator, allows the Hydradig to be used with a host of attachments, greatly enhancing its versatility and adaptability.
