• MSG Krandienst is a long-time, loyal Manitowoc customer and has added 40 Grove cranes to its fleet over the past 20 years.

MSG Krandienst received a Grove GMK6300L-1 as its 40th Grove crane delivered over the past 20 years. Its history of Grove purchases stretches back even further, but the company’s leadership celebrated this latest landmark at a handover ceremony in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, where Grove all-terrain cranes are built. Like all cranes in the company’s fleet, the latest GMK6300L-1 is painted in MSG’s trademark blue color.

Alfred Jatz, founder of MSG, together with his wife Marion Jatz attended the handover with company leadership from Manitowoc’s Wilhelmshaven facility and representatives from dealer KranAgentur Werner, which supplied the 40 cranes to MSG over the past two decades. Andreas Werner, CEO of KranAgentur Werner, said: “KranAgentur Werner, Grove, and MSG Krandienst have a long history of collaboration and partnership. MSG continues to expand and evolve, and we are delighted to support the business. It’s great to celebrate this latest purchase with Alfred and Marion and we look forward to continuing our relationship long into the future.”

The 300 t capacity Grove GMK6300L-1 has an 80 m main boom and up to 37 m of jib, for an overall maximum tip height of 120 m. With the main boom, it can lift up to 14 t at full height and can lift this within a 14-28 m working radius. Power for the carrier comes from a 430 kW Mercedes Benz (EUROMOT 5/Tier 4 final) engine which is paired with a reliable Allison transmission in a design that also features MEGATRAK suspension and all-wheel steering. The superstructure is powered by a 210 kW Mercedes Benz engine. MSG Krandienst offers a range of solutions across the lifting, transportation, and logistics industries from its headquarters in southern Germany.
