After ten years at the top of Bauer Maschinen GmbH, Dieter Stetter will soon hand over the leadership in younger hands. The current Chairman

of the Management Board, who has been working for Bauer since the early 1980s, has been instrumental in the sales of Bauer machinery in Asia.

Since the late 1980s, his name has been linked to Bauer’s story of success in the Far East ever since: Between 1992 and 1998 alone, 28 cutters were sold to Korea; in 1990, a subsidiary was founded in Taiwan, two years later a representative office in Beijing was opened. Companies in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong followed. As a result, Bauer's largest overseas production facility for drilling rigs was built in China. Dieter Stetter reminisces that "there was still a lot of uncharted territory on the map for us, which we were able to tap for our sales".

In 2008 Dieter Stetter ultimately became Chairman of the Management Board of Bauer Maschinen GmbH after 26 years abroad. Now is the time to hand over the management of Bauer Maschinen to a younger generation. He himself will be taking over the leadership of the Bauer Technologies Far East Group starting on January 1st. "Dieter Stetter has made a great contribution to Bauer Maschinen GmbH in a very difficult time", says CEO Prof. Thomas Bauer, acknowledging Stetter’s outstanding performance. "We wish him all the very best for this new stage in his life".

On December 1st, his successor will be Dr. Ruediger Kaub, who is to become a member of the board of directors of Bauer Maschinen GmbH as of October 1st. The 55-year-old mining engineer has many years of international experience in product management, sales and management. After completing his PhD, he joined the O&K Group in the mid-1990s, where he initially worked in product management in the mining equipment sector. In the further course of his career, Ruediger Kaub focused on sales and management tasks in Germany, South Africa, Canada, Singapore and, most recently, Indonesia. After returning to Germany in early 2016, Ruediger Kaub became managing director of Kleeman GmbH, a company that produces mobile crushing and screening equipment and which belongs to the Wirtgen Group. "We're delighted that with Mr. Kaub we've been able to secure an experienced professional", says Thomas Bauer, "and we wish him a great start and a steady hand".
