Two Demag AC 220-5 all terrain cranes delivered to Windhoist UK
Windhoist UK, the world’s leading wind turbine erection company, put two brand new Demag AC 220-5 all terrain cranes into operation. This means that the first partial delivery from an order for a total of four cranes was completed on schedule. The two other cranes are scheduled to be handed over at the start of 2020: one Demag AC 300-6 and one Demag AC 160-5.
The two Demag AC 220-5 cranes were delivered directly from the plant in Zweibrücken to a large work site in Sweden, where Windhoist is currently erecting a wind farm. “Windhoist are delighted with its recent Demag order. Our two new AC 220-5 cranes are currently busy in Scandinavia,” Martin Leanagh, Heavy Plant Operations Manager at Windhoist, says. When explaining why his company decided on the Demag cranes, he mentions the excellent reputation that the manufacturer enjoys throughout the entire wind power industry thanks to its high-quality products and its extraordinary service. “It makes perfect business sense to continue the relationship with Demag. Plans are in motion for our next order,” Martin Leanagh reports.
This, of course, is something that the team at Demag loves to hear: “Windhoist is one of the most recognized names in the wind turbine erection industry around the world and for them to place their trust in Demag with this four crane package is a sign of our long standing relationship, the strength of our support and quality of our products. Thank you to the whole team at Windhoist for your continued support.” Demag Sales Manager Lyle Sibbald emphasizes.
