Palfinger: With New Headquarters to North America's Number One

Palfinger celebrated the opening of its new, state-of-the-art North American headquarters with an integrated demonstration and training center.

An extensive sales & service network, a mobile service fleet with more than 100 vehicles and 15 locations — this is Palfinger in North America. The world's leading provider of innovative crane and lifting solutions has been active in the region since 1989. In 2022, the rapidly growing market in the USA, Canada and Mexico made a significant contribution to the company's record revenue of EUR 2.23 billion, and the Palfinger truck-mounted forklift proved to be the top revenue driver. The technology comapny has now set itself the goal of becoming number 1 in North America as well. The opening of its new regional headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois, sees the world market leader taking an essential step.

“We are here to stay and grow. Led by our strong focus on our customers, we will use the next five years to significantly increase our North American market share in all product segments and show what we are capable of,” says Palfinger CEO Andreas Klauser.

Palfinger is investing around four million US dollars in its new headquarters. Schaumburg, the state’s second largest economic location outside Chicago, has a strong industrial drive in the technology sector with excellent international accessibility and is the ideal location for Palfinger. Ismael Daneluz, Vice President of Sales & Service Region North and Latin America, explains: “Our new headquarters reflects our commitment to Palfinger’s second-largest market. The goal is to serve our customers even better than before, strengthen our market presence and further expand our activities in North America.”

At the heart of the new headquarters is its advanced training center, which offers a sales and service training program that is unrivaled in the region. Two state-of-the-art classrooms with space for up to 90 people create the ideal environment for an interactive and collaborative learning experience. In addition, the training center has a modern demonstration area for product operation and service training. Virtual reality training is revolutionizing the way operators learn how to use lifting solutions. This immersive technology allows people without previous experience to safely and efficiently operate a wide variety of equipment. In this way, Palfinger ensures that service partners and employees offer the best quality support.

The headquarters in Schaumburg marks an important milestone on Palfinger’s path to becoming the market leader in the region.
