The President of the Italian Republic in the Mechatronic District

the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella celebrates the Reggio Emilia Mechatronic District, a flagship of the national industry.

Saturday 29 April was a very special day for Walvoil, for the companies and for the whole city of Reggio Emilia. On the occasion of Labour Day celebrations, the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, in fact, also wanted to celebrate the Reggio Emilia Mechatronic District, a flagship of the national industry.

The event, organised by Unindustria Reggio Emilia, took place in the setting of the Corte Tegge site in Cavriago (Reggio Emilia province), now undergoing expansion of the production plant and the construction of the new Innovation Center, which will be the new headquarters of the R&D division, to be presented in June, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the company's foundation.

Before the ceremony, which involved more than 300 guests, the President of the Republic was welcomed by Fulvio Montipò, President of the Interpump Group, to which Walvoil has belonged since January 2015, and by Fabio Marasi, President and CEO of the company. He then visited our plant, receiving information about the type of production, our vision of the future in terms of research, sustainability, education, young people. And, as it always happens during his visits, he received a very warm welcome from all the employees at work on that day.

Walvoil has therefore experienced, not only the privilege of hosting the highest office of the Italian State, but also the honor of being a representative of the mechanical/mechatronic sector of Reggio Emilia, a beacon of resilience in this challenging historical juncture. Thanks again to President Sergio Mattarella, to the Authorities and Institutions present at the meeting, to Unindustria Reggio Emilia, to the Police Forces and to the Quirinale’s staff, which in synergy have made possible and have accompanied us in this special event.
